[ESP/ENG] Castillo Medieval. Pintura Con Acuarelas. / Medieval Castle. Watercolor Painting.

Qué puede haber más enigmático que un castillo de la Edad Media. Cuando vemos esas imágenes no vienen al pensamiento batallas épicas, historias fantásticas y hasta cuentos de hadas, gnomos y trols. Pero este tipo de edificaciones amuralladas, nos cuentan más que las historias que nos presenta el cine y la televisión. Gigantescas edificaciones fortificadas eran construidas para estar preparados y tener protección por cuanto en la Edad Media eran comunes las guerras. Las guerras entre naciones no han dejado de existir, pero hoy día los conflictos bélicos se disputan a través de otros medios, sin duda mucho más destructivos que los de la época medieval. Las impresionantes moles de piedras, concreto, hierro, entre otros materiales, se erigen sombre montañas y colinas como un viejo anciano que agoniza por contar lo que sus ojos han visto; aun así estás grandiosas maravillas arquitectónicas son dignas de toda admiración. Para realizar mi pintura utilicé como referencia la siguiente imagen.

What could be more enigmatic than a castle from the Middle Ages. When we see these images, epic battles, fantastic stories and even fairy tales, gnomes and trolls do not come to mind. But this kind of walled buildings tell us more than the stories presented to us by cinema and television. Gigantic fortified buildings were built to be prepared and to have protection because in the Middle Ages wars were common. Wars between nations have not ceased to exist, but today war conflicts are fought by other means, certainly much more destructive than those of medieval times. The impressive masses of stones, concrete, iron, among other materials, stand in the shadow of mountains and hills like an old man who agonizes to tell what his eyes have seen; even so these grandiose architectural wonders are worthy of admiration. To make my painting I used the following image as a reference.

Realicé el boceto con lápiz de grafito 2B y lo sumergí en agua. Luego que estuvo completamente empapado lo fijé a la superficie para trabajar.

I made the sketch with 2B graphite pencil and dipped it in water. After it was completely soaked I fixed it to the surface to work on.

De inmediato aplique la primera aguada de pigmentos dependiendo de los colores de cada área., luego para el fondo utilicé una mezcla de verde, negro y azul. Para las edificaciones de atrás, azul con negro y las que están en primer plano, amarillo, naranja y marrón.

I immediately applied the first pigment wash depending on the colors of each area, then for the background I used a mixture of green, black and blue. For the buildings in the back, blue with black and those in the foreground, yellow, orange and brown.

Dejé secar por 3 horas aproximadamente el papel y empecé a aplicar los detalles como ventanas, puertas, tejados.

I let dry for about 3 hours the paper and started to apply the details like windows, doors, roofs.

Retoqué las partes que están en sombra para dar más profundidad y realicé el follaje y el sendero que le dieron un toque fantástico a todo el paisaje. Creo que le hizo falta más follaje en la parte del frente, se ve un poco desnudo. Lo siento, soy un tanto autocrítica. Finalmente es así como quedó la pintura del castillo medieval.

I retouched the parts that are in shadow to give more depth and made the foliage and the path that gave a fantastic touch to the whole landscape. I think it lacked more foliage in the front part, it looks a bit bare. Sorry, I'm a bit self-critical. Finally this is how the painting of the medieval castle turned out.

Queridos hivers les comento que fue un poco complicado este trabajo por la cantidad de detalles de un castillo medieval, sin embargo poco a poco fue tomando cuerpo. Sin duda que en cada pincelada de acuarela me divertía y así transcurrieron varias horas sumergida en la magia de este arte. Espero queridos hivers que les agrade este castillo medieval, recordando que no soy una profesional de la pintura y el dibujo, solo soy una principiante que va descubriendo un gran gusto por el arte y la pintura….hasta la próxima oportunidad queridos hivers, cualquier sugerencia pueden dejarme un comentario que con gusto estaré respondiendo.

Dear hivers, this work was a little complicated because of the amount of details of a medieval castle, but little by little it took shape. Undoubtedly, I had fun with each watercolor brushstroke and so I spent several hours immersed in the magic of this art.
