Greetings beautiful community. What a pleasure and joy to share this new creation of chokers made with multicolored Chinese thread and a chain of golden beads and ballerinas. Combination of these two elements in a single accessory arises by chance because I felt that only the woven choker did not have much presence, it was missing something and I thought to put as a complement a string of ballerinas and gold beads that made a big difference. It gave it that touch that was missing and I loved the result. Now I share with you how I did it.

Saludos hermosa comunidad. Que gusto y alegría poder compartir esta nueva creación de chokers realizado con hilo chino multicolor y una cadena de mostacillas doradas y balines. Combinación estos dos elementos en un solo accesorio surge de marena fortuita debido a que sentía que solo el choker tejido no tenía mucha presencia, le faltaba algo y se me ocurrió colocar como complemento una hilo de balines y mostacillas doradas que hizo una gran diferencia. Le dió ese toque que faltaba y me encantó el resultado. Ahora les comparto cómo lo hice.

We cut a one meter thread that we will use as central thread and we fold it in half and cut a two meter thread that will be the tie thread. The reason why I chose to use a double central thread is to get a weave with a little bit of volume, since tying a single thread would result in a somewhat thin choker. I tied a single knot 7 centimeters from the central thread and inserted a golden pearl and then tied and sealed with the lighter. This to have one of the ends ready.

Cortamos un hilo de un metro que usaremos cómo hilo central y lo doblamos a la mitad y cortamos un hilo de dos metros que será el hilo de amarre. La razón por la que elegí colocar el hilo central doble es para conseguir un tejido con un poco de volumen ya que de amarrar doble un hilo simple me daría como resultado un choker algo finito. Realicé un nudo simple a 7 centímetros del hilo central e introduje una perla dorada y luego amarré y sellé con el encendedor. Esto para tener uno de los extremos listo.

Now we take the tie thread from the ends to get just the middle and position it behind the single knot we made earlier and start making 6 flat knots tightly attached to the starting knot. This is simple because you can always slip the flat knots to do a tight job. After we have tied the 6 knots we introduce a bead at each end of the tie threads, we pull them up until they touch the fabric and we tie four flat knots after we have introduced the beads. The whole first part of the choker is made by repeating the same procedure; two beads on the tie threads followed by four flat knots until reaching the end of the central double thread. We finish with 6 flat knots and seal with the lighter. We place a golden bead for finishing and seal again with the lighter. Always be careful to adjust the central thread so that the weaving is not twisted.

Ahora tomamos el hilo de amarre de los extremos para conseguir justo la mitad y lo posicionamos detrás del nudo simple que hemos realizado anteriormente y empezamos a hacer 6 nudos planos bien pegados al nudo de inicio. Esto es simple porque siempre se pueden deslizar los nudos planos para realizar un trabajo bien ajustado. Después que hemos realizado los 6 nudos introducimos una mostacilla en cada extremos de los hilos de amarre, las subimos hasta toparse con el tejido y realizamos cuatro nudos planos después que hemos introducido las mostacillas. Todo la primera parte del chokers se elabora repitiendo el mismo procedimiento; dos mostacillas en los hilos de amarre seguidas de cuatro nudos planos hasta llegar al final del hilo central doble. Terminamos con 6 nudos planos y sellamos con el encendedor. Colocamos una perla dorada para el acabado y sellamos nuevamente con encendedor. Cuidemos siempre de ir acomodando el hilo central para que el tejido no quede torcido

Now we only introduce in the thread 7 golden beads followed by a golden pearl and we fill the whole thread interspersing stones and we make it as long as we want. I made it just a little longer than the woven choker because I wanted it to stay tight to the neck. When you reach the end, just tie it tightly to the other end of the choker, cut the excess thread and seal it.

Colocamos la perla jumbo aguamarina y empezamos a realizar la siguiente parte, amarramos un hilo de 70 centímetros y lo amarramos pegado al primer nudo plano realizado, cortamos el sobrante y sellamos. Ahora solo introducimos en el hilo 7 mostacillas doradas seguidas de una perla dorada y vamos llenando todo el hilo intercalando piedras y lo hacemos tan largo como deseemos. Yo lo hice solo un poco más largo que el chokers tejido ya que quería que se mantuviera ajustado al cuello. Al llegar al final solo queda amarrar bien ajustado al otro extremo del chokers, cortar el sobrante de hilo y sellamos.
