Flowers also inspire perfumes, foods and works of art. They are everywhere and the variety of shapes and colors is infinite, but today the muse of my inspiration is a modest wild flower that grows in the fields. I share with you how to combine the crochet technique with other elements and create a beautiful accessory.

La flores son también inspiradoras de perfumes, de comidas y de obras de arte. Ellas están en todas partes y la variedad de formas y colores es infinita, pero hoy la musa de mi inspiración es una modesta flor silvestre que crece en los campos. Les comparto cómo combinar la técnica del crochet con otros elementos y crear un hermoso accesorio.

This piece is very basic and what we are going to learn is how to make these crochet flowers. This flower is composed of two flowers made with the same technique but in different sizes. First we make a magic ring of 10 chain stitches, we close with a slip stitch and we knit 3 chains in the air that we fix with a slip stitch to the base ring leaving a chain stitch in between. Then we knit 3 chain stitches and repeat, always leaving a chain stitch in between. In this way we complete the row and we have 5 chains where we are going to assemble the petals.

Está pieza es muy básica y lo que vamos a aprender es a realizar estas flores en crochet. Esta flor esta compuesta de dos flores hechas con la misma técnica pero en tamaños diferentes. Primero hacemos un anillo mágico de 10 puntos cadena, cerramos con un punto deslizado y tejemos 3 cadenas al aire que fijamos con punto deslizado al anillo de base dejando un punto cadena de por medio. Luego tejemos 3 puntos al aire y repetimos dejando siempre un punto de por medio. De esta manera completamos la vuelta y tenemos 5 cadenas donde vamos a armar los pétalos.

Seguimos la siguiente vuelta con 1 punto raso más 4 puntos bajos y 1 punto raso, de esta manera hemos logrado el primer pétalo. Repetimos en las 4 cadenas restantes.

To make the bigger flower, we do the previous steps and we make one more row starting with 1 single crochet, 5 medium high stitches and 1 single crochet, this way we obtain the first petal and we continue until we complete the 5 petals. For this necklace I wanted two flowers, so once we complete the two small flowers and the two big ones we assemble a flower by placing the smaller one over the big one and sew 3 beads in the center, this way the flowers are assembled.

Para hacer la flor más grande, hacemos los pasos anteriores y hacemos una vuelta más empezado con 1 punto bajo, 5 puntos medios altos y 1 punto bajo, así obtenemos el primer pétalo y seguimos hasta completar los 5 pétalos. Para este collar deseaba dos flores, así que una vez que completamos las dos flores pequeñas y las dos grandes armamos una flor colocando la más pequeña sobre la grande y cosemos 3 perlas en el centro, de esta manera quedan armadas las flores.
