[ENG/ESP] Delicate bracelet with 2mm colored murano glass./ Delicada pulsera con muranos de colores de 2mm.

Murano is one of my favorite crystals and although it is only worked glass, the way it is processed gives it a special sparkle. Authentic Murano glass is imported from an island in Italy that bears the same name. Many years ago I visited a factory where they process Murano and it is fascinating, since then I fell in love with these beautiful and colorful glass.

El Murano es uno de mis cristales favoritos y aunque solo es vidrio trabajado, la forma en que lo procesan produce el ellos un brillo especial. El cristal de Murano auténtico se importa de una isla en Italia que lleva ese mismo nombre. Hace muchos años visité una fábrica donde procesan el Murano y es fascinante, desde entonces quedé enamorada de estos bellos y coloridos cristales.

The muranos that you can find in jewelry stores are really inexpensive and come in a variety of colors and sizes. Today I chose to work a bracelet with small crystals, they are 2mm and in different colors. The strip comes in different colors, but I organized them according to the shade to have a color pattern.

Los muranos que se consiguen en tiendas de insumos para bisutería son realmente económicos y se consiguen en variados colores y tamaños. Hoy elegí trabajar un brazalete con unos cristales pequeños , son de 2mm y en colores variados. La tira viene en colores diferentes, pero yo los organicé según la tonalidad para tener un patrón de colores.

The base of this bracelet is on a stiff nylon thread number 18 and the clasp is a parrot beak type. I also used 2 mm pellets as a separator between the shaped figures, which is similar to a leaf. I also used some pearls and translucent Murano glass for the center of the leaf. Let's see the process.

La base de esta pulsera está sobre un hilo de nylon rígido número 18 y el cierre es de tipo pico de loro. También utilicé balines de 2 mm como separador entre las figuras formadas, que es parecida a una hoja. También utilicé algunas perlas y cristales de Murano traslúcidos para el centro de la hoja. Veamos el proceso.

We cut 2 strands of nylon of 75 ctms approximately, we pass both strands through the hole of the closing hook and we place the half. We will have 4 strands to work with. We introduce the four strands through the hole of a golden ball, then through the hole of a blue crystal, which is the first color we will work with.

Cortamos 2 hebras de nylon de 75 ctms aproximadamente, pasamos ambas hebras por el orificio del gancho de cierre y ubicamos la mitad. Nos quedarán 4 hebras para trabajar. Introducimos las cuatro hebras por el orificio de un balín dorado, luego por el orificio de un cristal azul, que es el primer color que trabajaremos.

Then we separate two central strands and the other two on each side, on the two central strands we place a 4 mm translucent crystal and on each side, on each strand we place 4 crystals in the same color shade, then we pass the four strands through a crystal of the same color and form the first pattern. In summary, we will use 10 crystals for each pattern.

Luego separamos dos hebras centrales y las otras dos a cada lado, en las dos hebras centrales colocamos un cristal traslúcido de 4 mm y qnlos lados, en cada hebra colocamos 4 cristales en la misma tonalidad de color, luego pasamos las cuatro hebras por un cristal del mismo color y formamos el primer patrón. En síntesis, vamos a utilizar 10 cristales por cada patrón.

We separate with a balin and start with the second pattern. This time I chose the translucent crystals to combine with a 4 mm pearl. It is the same process, one crystal for the four strands and then we separate in two central and two lateral ones. In the central one we now place a pearl and in the lateral ones, four crystals to close them together with a single 2mm crystal.

Separamos con un balin y empezamos con el segundo patrón. Está vez elegí los cristales traslúcidos para combinarlos con una perla de 4 mm. Es el mismo proceso, un cristal para las cuatro hebras y luego separamos en dos centrales y dos laterales. En la central colocamos ahora una perla y en los laterales, cuatro cristales para cerrarlos juntos con un solo cristal de 2mm.

The process is repeated changing colors and alternating the central bead that will go from translucent crystal to a pearl and so on until completing the number of patterns according to the width of the bracelet.

Se repite el proceso cambiado de colores y alternando la cuenta central que irá de cristal traslúcido a una perla y así sucesivamente hasta completar el número de patrones según el ancho del brazalete.

For this bracelet I worked 6 color patterns, going from blue, to translucent, green, yellow, ochre and orange. To close the bracelet I colored a golden ring, tying the nylon with a simple double knot. To seal the knot I applied a little heat with the lighter. This step must be done with a lot of patience because if we bring the flame too close, we can completely burn the nylon and damage all the work, so we only bring the blue part of the flame a little closer and when a little ball forms on the knot, we remove the heat. This bracelet looks very nice because of its special shine and the color pattern looks great. Greetings and good wishes to all.

Para esta pulsera trabajé 6 patrones de colores, pasando del azul, al traslúcido, verde, amarillo, ocre y naranja. Para cerrar la pulsera colores una argolla dorada amarrando muy bien el nylon con un nudo simple doble. Para sellar el nudo apliqué un poco de calor con el encendedor. Este paso es necesario hacerlo con mucha paciencia ya que si acercamos demasiado la llama, podemos quemar completamente el nylon y dañar todo el trabajo, por esto solo acercamos un poco la parte azul de la llama y cuando se forma una bolita sobre el nudo, retiramos el calor. Esta pulsera luce muy linda por su especial brillo y el patrón de colores queda genial. Mis saludos y buenos deseos para todos.
