I have been to look at a takeaway today that is quite possibly the one we will be having for our business.
For months and months we have been waiting for something to come along that would suit our needs regarding the food that we are wanting to sell.
Finally one has come to market that fits our needs and more importantly fits our price range.
It has everything that we need to open up the same day that we hand over the cash.
It has many potential items that we could used, it has a pizza oven, grill fryer freezers fridges and a holding unit.
After viewing and taking some time to think about it, I made the call to my friend who is putting the money up, and he has agreed to buy it with me.
I sent the owner of the shop an email confirmation that we would buy the shop and that I could take a deposit of £2,000 to him tomorrow to secure the shop.
I have been waiting for 5 hours for a reply, and it is draining the life out of me waiting. I check my emails every 10 minutes but nothing yet.
I know it could be because the takeaway is open and he is busy serving his customers, but you know me I have to bite this as quick as I possibly can.
I am just hoping that he gets in touch with me at some point tonight as I can't sleep at the minute and this would be the happiest news that I have had all day.
I do have some pictures and I will share them later, the owner of the shop as asked me not to post them on line as his staff has no idea that he is selling up and moving on.
Once the sale goes through I will be showing the shop in all its glory, from opening and closing, I just hope that I got in on it in time as he had someone else go and look at the same time as me, (he didn't seem as interested as me though)
What can I do other than wait?
I have so much planning to do now, I wish that I had made time to sort these things out over the months of waiting, but like a knob I only did a little bit of prep, and that could bite us in the arse now.
I do have a plan, just not one that is going to work from the start, I don't think.
I have menu planning to do, menu printing to do, flyering to prepare, and even costing. OMG, I need a second person to help me. hahaha.
I hope that this works and I am able to produce something amazing.
