A French drain would work, it just isn't affordable to me at the minute, I was down the plot today and someone suggested turning it over with a tiller and adding in dry topsoil to it to help soak it up.

@intrepidthinker I feel it for you, I have taken on an allotment and have found that the second half to the plot is waterlogged from the floods we had back in November. The guy who runs the plots down

thank you @mesembs, tomorrow is going to be a hards day grafting so you should look out for tomorrows post.

Thank you for your upvote, I appreciate it. :D

I found out today that the River is high, I was told that from the floods, tree branches have blocked it in places and is making the water sit higher than it is meant to. I am thinking that if I am to

it looks better than mine, I think a little tap from a hammer would open mine up. but you never know, someone might not be able to get in :D

Ace idea, I wish someone would have come and done mine, but then again, I would have phoned myself as that is what I do :D

Thanks @nikv this article has helped, I was looking online for something like this but nothing other than this article made any sense. When you walk on my soil it pushes water to each side of my shoes

I did a series of stories of when I worked as a pizza delivery guy, a lot of people liked them. I stopped writing them as I got a little sidetracked with the gardening when I moved into our new house.

I was a young lad at the time, first job from leaving school, who would let a kid operate the tills? the staff didn't care there and the manager at the time was always outside with his fag in his gob.

That's right mate, I got moved to stacking shelves as I saw fit to make everything about 25p or something like that, there was a lady who was "training me" who just didn't give a fuck, she just

I worked at kwiksave back in 1999 and it was a shit hole then too, I had just left school and it was a case of walking in off the street and asking for a job. the next day I was getting till trained, and

It's still a little doom and gloom but having a second place to go to helps a little. there is a lot of work to be done there so it will keep me busy. Been back today to do some more work and we all got
