I have been working on this one for a while. I will show you some of the steps involved in making and painting a rubber template. First sketch the character or object you want to draw on a rubber pad. I just drew the inverse image directly on the rubber but you can probably draw a regular image on a thin piece of paper and carve through the paper if the inverse image is hard to draw. Use a knife to carve the image into the rubber. After carving the template is ready. Not the fun part is ready to begin.

Use a roller and spread the paint on the template. It is the paint on the outside of the template that will create the image we are going to print. The spaces on the rubber will have no paint and they will produce a white line when the print is pressed to the paper. I put on one color first working with red, yellow and blue. Later I mixed colors and got a variation of prints.
