To make contact with the Monteros, I left Libertad Island by boat to find their gatekeeper, Philly Barzaga, in Costa Del Mar. After switching to a fast jet ski to bypass explosive water mines, I reached land, passed a quiet guerrilla camp, and found Philly at his magic workshop.
Clara suggested starting my search for the Monteros in Madrugada by tracking down their gatekeeper, a mechanic named Philly Barzaga, who worked out of a shop in Costa Del Mar.
Standing on the shore of Libertad Island, I knew I needed a fast boat to cover the long distance across the water. I summoned my water vehicle, jumped into the driver seat, and sped out into the open sea.
Enemy boats patrolled the surrounding waters, but I kept the engine at full speed and ignored them completely to make quick progress toward Madrugada.
As I approached the coast, I tried to stay on the water as long as possible to avoid heavily guarded roads.
However, a cluster of explosive mines blocked the main water path ahead. I tried to steer into a narrow side channel, but my big boat got stuck between the banks.
Leaving the craft behind, I jumped onto a small jet ski parked nearby. The jet ski was fast and easily maneuvered around the explosive traps.
Passing by Tranquila Beach, I pushed forward into Costa Del Mar, riding the jet ski straight up onto the sandy shore to finish the trip.
Stepping onto land, I found myself in a quiet area guarded by friendly guerrillas. The nearby village was peaceful, with no crowds or military vehicles in sight.
Knowing the workshop was nearby, I took off on foot and ran down the dirt path until I reached a cluttered yard labeled as Philly's Magic Workshop.
Looking at the mess of parts scattered everywhere, Dani paused, wondering what kind of person could actually work in a spot like this.
Stepping inside, I spotted a man hard at work on a machine. When I asked if he was Philly, he jokingly denied it but the game introduced him as Philly Barzaga.
