Reaching Del Toro Airstrip, I located the anti-aircraft cannon, secured depleted uranium for Juan, and gathered FND military intel from a nearby tent.
It was time to push deeper into enemy territory to locate the anti-aircraft cannon, clear the skies, and ensure safe air passage for future flights. The surrounding terrain matched the tobacco plantation area where Espada and I had escaped earlier.
Expecting a heavy military presence, I maintained a direct line toward the cannon site, bypassing secondary targets. Passing through the fields, I observed Castillo's workers spraying fertilizer over the tobacco crops despite the late hour, but I kept my focus on the primary objective.
Looking up, I spotted a sniper stationed atop a watchtower, the same structure I had climbed during my previous visit. To secure my route, I climbed the tower and eliminated the sniper silently before he could raise an alarm.
From the top platform, I scouted the surrounding area and watched an armored war tank rumble down the road below, proving how heavily Castillo's forces guarded their assets.
Scanning the horizon, I realized the anti-aircraft cannon was not positioned directly within the plantation itself, but rather situated a short distance away near an open airstrip.
I descended the tower and moved cautiously toward the site, taking advantage of a covered tunnel to bypass active enemy patrols along the main path. As I emerged, the sun began to rise, illuminating the landscape and ending my night approach.
I arrived at the perimeter of Del Toro Airstrip just as a military patrol chopper touched down on the tarmac. Holstering my weapon, I walked along the public road to blend in, though I quickly stepped behind a tree to avoid an incoming troop transport truck as it drove past.
Reaching the restricted anti-aircraft zone, I approached the cannon structure. Juan radioed in over the comms, instructing me to locate the stash of depleted uranium stored at the site and detonate the main gun.
With no ground troops immediately in sight and the military chopper taking off into the distance, I secured the depleted uranium from the storage crate.
Searching under a nearby command tent, I uncovered a tactical map detailing FND cache locations, alongside an official FND High Command assessment document warning of incoming reinforcements and revised defense plans for local checkpoints.
