Where Do You Go to Find the Best Cake?
It's a colleague's birthday today. She is actually based in our head office in Dubai but our super nice boss allowed her to come to work in Abu Dhabi office today so she can have ample time to celebrate with her twin sister who is living here in the Capital.
La Brioche
For super moist and delicious cakes, we really love to go to La Brioche.
La Brioche is a French themed Cafe which was founded in the UAE three (3) decades ago. It has grown overtime and now have several of branches across the region.
I was unsure whether they had La Brioche here at the mall just across our office. I never saw it before.
A quick search at the mall directory and I immediately found it. Hah! There. Just at the end of the first floor. That's why. I personally do not always go to this part of this mall.
And there they are! My cake heaven!
We got the chocolate cake (1kg) for 2 reasons:
- Seriously, what could go wrong with chocolate?!
- This cake has enough space to write the dedication:
Your Cafe at the Mall.
Located at the rightmost side of the Level 1 of the Abu Dhabi Mall, I actually did not know it was there. It was like, secluded.
However, should you want some peace and quiet this must be a perfect spot.
Classy, ain't it?!
The staff are also accommodating (though camera shy. Lol)
We brought the cake back to our office to share with everyone back there. In a matter of minutes we had a "raped" chocolate cake. 馃槀
I loved how the cake was not too sweet and it melts in the mouth.
I actually enjoyed it with my black coffee. Yuuumm!
For Just Dhs 110 ($30) everyone in the office had a bite of this luscious chocolate cake. Perfect for special occasions like a birthday!
