Renaissance Square - Watercolors on Paper
Hello to all my dear Hivers friends and welcome back to my blog. Today I’m sharing a watercolor with a classic theme: I’ve depicted a square with an old-world charm, evoking the Renaissance. I’ve used a central perspective where the focal point is the church, situated at the far end of a large square paved with limestone slabs. I’ve added a bell tower to the church in a style that blends Gothic and Renaissance elements. The house on the right features a large entranceway with a Gothic-style pointed arch, while on the left I’ve painted a Renaissance arch. I played a lot with the shadows to emphasize the volume of the scene and highlight the strong sunlight on the square. Finally, I placed two small figures in the middle of the square to give a sense of scale to the area.

Piazza rinascimentale - acquarelli su carta
Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e bentornati sul mio blog. Oggi condivido un acquarello dal soggetto classico, ho rappresentato una piazza dal sapore antico, il Rinascimento. Ho realizzato una prospettiva centrale dove il soggetto protagonista è la chiesa, in fondo ad una grande piazza a lastroni di calcare. La chiesa l'ho corredata di un campanile a stile misto tra gotico e rinascimentale. La casa sulla destra presenta un grande varco di comunicazione con un arco a sesto acuto di tipo gotico, mentre quella a sinistra ho dipinto un arco rinascimentale. Ho giocato molto con le ombre per enfatizzare i volumi della scena e mettere in evidenza la forte luce solare presente sulla piazza. Infine in mezzo alla piazza ho inserito due piccole figure per dare un senso di grandezza all'area.
