Como me encanta echarles cuentos, les contar茅 todo sobre este d铆a. Lo primero es explicarles que mi relaci贸n con Boris nunca ha sido "com煤n". Decidimos casarnos el a帽o pasado, e inclusive 茅l fue a comprar el anillo en ese momento. Y s铆, yo lo sab铆a todo. Porque somos sumamente malos d谩ndonos sorpresas o guard谩ndonos secretos.
Since I love to tell you stories, I will tell you all about this day. The first thing is to explain that my relationship with Boris has never been "ordinary". We decided to get married last year, and he even went to buy the ring at that time. And yes, I knew everything. Because we are extremely bad at giving each other surprises or keeping secrets.
驴Qu茅 suced铆a? Que como a煤n no ten铆amos ni c贸mo mantenernos a nosotros mismos, pensamos que lo mejor era esperar al momento donde mejor谩ramos nuestra situaci贸n econ贸mica y super谩ramos ciertas etapas que eran necesarias.
What was going on? That since we didn't even have a way to support ourselves yet, we thought it was best to wait for the moment when we would improve our economic situation and overcome certain stages that were necessary.
Y as铆 es como lleg贸 el lunes de la semana antepasada: Boris y yo, sentados conversando sobre la vida, decidimos que ya era momento para pasar al siguiente paso... PERO WAIT!! ESTAMOS EN CUARENTENA. 驴C脫MO NOS VAMOS A COMPROMETER AS脥? Pues literalmente nada nos import贸, pues el amor era much铆simo m谩s grande.
And that's how Monday of the previous week arrived: Boris and I, sitting down to talk about life, decided that it was time to take the next step? BUT WAIT! WE ARE IN QUARANTINE. HOW ARE WE GOING TO COMMIT OURSELVES LIKE THIS? Well, literally nothing mattered to us, because the love was so much greater.
Planificamos un viaje para diciembre y a Boris se le ocurri贸 llevarme a la iglesia, mi lugar favorito, y pedirme matrimonio delante de un sacerdote (muy amigo nuestro) como testigo. Y as铆 fue como decidimos casarnos.
We planned a trip for December and Boris came up with the idea of taking me to church, my favorite place, and propose to me in front of a priest (a very good friend of ours) as a witness. And that's how we decided to get married.
Quisimos que se realizara este evento secreto (nadie m谩s lo sab铆a) el d铆a viernes de esa misma semana (18 de septiembre). Fuimos a la parroquia durante la noche, el Padre nos confes贸 (vale la pena acotar que, a pesar de que yo soy s煤per entregada a los apostolados y labores sociales de la iglesia, Boris es agn贸stico JAJAJAJA, y me pareci贸 un gesto mucho m谩s bonito que quisiera hacerme feliz comprometi茅ndonos en donde yo sent铆a que era mi segundo hogar), y procedimos al acto.
We wanted this secret event to take place (nobody else knew) on Friday of that same week (September 18). We went to the parish during the night, Father confessed to us (it is worth noting that, although I am super dedicated to the apostolates and social work of the church, Boris is an agnostic JAJAJAJA, and it seemed a much nicer gesture that he wanted to make me happy by committing us to where I felt it was my second home), and we proceeded to the ceremony.
驴Lo gracioso? El padre no sab铆a qu茅 hacer porque era la primera vez que alguien ven铆a a comprometerse y no a casarse a la parroquia, JAJAJAJA. As铆 que invent贸 un ritual y todo sali贸 BELL脥SIMO.
The funny thing? The father didn't know what to do because it was the first time someone had come to the parish to get engaged and not married, hahaha. So he invented a ritual and everything came out BEAUTIFUL.
Luego de ello fuimos a mi casa a contar la noticia (a煤n secreta, ni siquiera hab铆a montado una historia de WhatsApp sobre ello) y no tienen idea de lo graciosas y extra帽as que fueron cada una de las reacciones. Hasta mi hermana,

As铆 que bueno, supongo que ahora me adentr茅 oficialmente a la etapa de la adultez, as铆 que des茅enme suerte con todo el asunto del matrimonio y con mis intentos fallidos de comprarme un carro (porque todos siempre tienen un detalle que me obligan a no adquirirlos).
So, well, I guess I'm now officially entering the adult stage, so wish me luck with the whole marriage thing and my failed attempts to buy a car (because everyone always has a detail that forces me not to buy one).
