Inside the house the atmosphere was heavy. The small beats of a confused heart thudded, the sweat turned into huge drops rolled down her forehead and crashed against the wooden floor. Sixteen-year-old Paulina stood rigidly behind the door and through a crack, her breathing distorted, she cautiously atoned for the movements of a woman smoking and walking in the middle of nowhere as if she were thinking of some convenient phrase to resolve the situation in which they both found themselves.

Her name apparently was Lila, the rest turned out to be a mystery, as he began to have communication with her through a dress design page and the conversations for Lila did not include revealing more details of her identity. At first glance any mortal would see her as harmless and be surprised at how beautiful she is, tall, with straight hair and provocative clothes that revealed a divine body. But behind all that charm lurked a repulsive, lying and Machiavellian being.

Suddenly, a sharp knock again broke the silence that had been generated by the closing of the door and stoked all the fear that was in Paulina, she stepped back and hid behind an armchair with her hands next to her mouth so as not to emit any sound.

—Open the damn door at once, do you intend to let me spend the night out here, girl? You're crazy if you think you can stay out there all your life, I remind you that no one can hear you, we are far away from the others on top of this spectacular mountain where no one could ever bother us.

—I just want to go and be with my parents, I'm sorry I lied about going to my cousins house to come here to talk alone when I could have demanded a public place, I was an idiot.

—Yes, you are naive. I never forced you to come and look at you here playing cat and mouse with me.

—Shut up!

—I don't know why you deny it, you can't wait for me to touch you again like I did a while ago.

—Shut up, you wanted to force me, my interest was to get to know you, I was beginning to see you as my only friend, at least that's how you showed yourself.

—You can't even imagine the mess you're in girl, my interest is nothing more than recruiting silly girls like you for important people like those who pay me. You must understand that I needed to know the quality of the product I sell and what do you think, you passed the test. So I recommend you to get ready because soon in a few hours your owners will come to pick you up, there will be no door or human strength that will prevent you from ending up in a cage like an animal waiting to be resold to any depraved millionaire who notices that little face and body of yours or some desperate person who needs an organ urgently to save a life.

Out of nowhere, a scream was heard inside the cabin, Lila's words had caused such emotional damage to Paulina that she didn't mind crying her eyes out.

—Yes, little one, I suppose I am despicable, perhaps because I am fond of you, I have revealed your destiny and that tears something inside me.

Lila kept mumbling as she settled her butt on the cold steps of the entrance, with her back to the door she tried to light another cigarette, holding back her tears. He slowly inhaled the smoke trying to end the sadness that was generated in his chest when he heard Paulina crying like a little girl, after all he loved her, but there was nothing he could do, he had already booked her. Besides, the pay was pretty good, she could cover her nephew's last operation and betraying her bosses meant dying under torture.

As Paulina lay on the floor, she asked God for forgiveness and prayed to be able to return to the arms of her parents. Then she got up still moaning and began to look for some object that would be useful to defend herself in case she had to fight, she had to find a way to get out without Lila noticing.

Time was running out, Paulina checked a couple more times the back door that was sealed, she did the same with the windows, but the bars did not move, it was the typical trap to hunt and she was the animal that fell easily.

There was only one way out, one chance, he had to face the person who was out there, the same one who had earned his trust with words, attentions and even gifts for months. Waiting was no longer an option, using his intelligence was the only possibility he had left, he tightened his grip on the screwdriver he found and slid the pin that prevented Lila's entrance.
