Life Is Everlasting?
Life is eternal; it has no start or end. The first law of conservation is the same is the first law of thermodynamics, which is, that energy can neither be created nor destroyed.
So it'd appear that if energy can not be created, then it always was, and If it can never be destroyed, it forever will be. Therefore, according to this law, energy should be eternal, having neither start or finish.
Energy can be and is changed over to matter. Indeed, this material universe at the time of the Big Bang was pure energy which has been changed over to matter just to be reconverted to its original form as energy amid the period of the Big Crunch.
If you think that a universe of mindless matter has created beings with intrinsic ends, [in Kantian terminology, an end-in-itself] self-replication capabilities, and "coded chemistry"...
Could Life Have A Start Or End?
Then you should accept that it's the eternal energy that has neither start or finish, which has become this material universe and has developed a mind that's the compilation of all the information gathered by all the various life-forms that it's become.
However, this conclusion is based on the fact that the inverse mutually exclusive hypothesis or Null hypothesis has not been sustained.
No experiment thus far has shown that a natural unguided process is able to manufacture life. That's a fact.
Attempts To Recreate Early Life
Many of the experiments to create even the "Building Blocks" of life have shown the careful balancing and control of variables be intelligence, i.e. the scientist. With no plausible real-world surroundings capable of performing identical actions.
Also, if we suspend disbelief and accept the surroundings to create amino acids in nature, it's still not feasible. Well, those amino acids would have to make there a way to a sugar backbone that comes from a completely different proposed environment. An environment utterly destructive to amino acids.
For it is all that exists, and in who, all exist.
