What Do I Mean By This?
Reality is independent of your mind and existence. (I do not know if this is as broad as I mean, however, this is the gist of what I mean.)Independent not solely of your (you being whoever reads this) existence however also of any other object's existence, I suppose.
Is There A Reality At All?
Is there are a reality at all? Well, we all know (if we all know something at all) that we tend to never understand reality except through the filter of perception. Perceptions are simple - whether or not they represent something beyond themselves is - I might say - unprovable conjecture either way.
I tend to suppose there's an external reality - I feel that explains such things as shared experience more elegantly that the fudges needed by a solipsistic world-view.
However, i do not suppose for an instant I will prove that of realism and idealistic solipsism is correct - I will solely say that one I feel the more helpful model.
Just Guess Work?
All questions about how 'reality is' are unprovable as a result of we rely on observations, and also the next observation made might invalidate what was apparently therefore before.
We can prove things regarding maths because we build the principles - in arithmetic 1+1=2 as a result of however the symbols 1,+, = and 2 are outlined by us.
