Why does my upvote results in a decreased earning of the post I upvote?
**I try to get a bit more scheduled if it comes to posting, replying and reading. ** I have two accounts to take care of and still do not know how everything works. A friend told me I can press the stop button on Hive and it won't stop my powerdown at Steemit. I didn't know that and hope she is right. I took my chance with one account. _To be honest I do not understand why Hive keeps powering down if I do so on Steemit but this is not what my question is about._ As I read and voted today I noticed the total earnings of the post **decreased** instead of increased. It's not the first time I notice this on Hive and it makes me feel uncomfortable. It means my upvote takes away a part of the earnings the writer already had and I do not understand what causes it.  **Do you know why my upvote results in a decreased earning?** I saw this happen with both accounts.
