Hello, all of my friends of the Hive Universe. How are you all? I hope you are all well by the grace of the Almighty. I am also fine. Today, I want to share with you about my garden's vegetable which is red amaranth. Now I start to write about it. 馃槉
As you already know, our house's left side has an empty place. I thought about that place to make my vegetable garden. Then I went to my hometown for my internship research project-related work. After finishing my work, I went to the market because I had some work at the bank. Then I saw a seed selling shop where they were selling different types of vegetables seed in a packed bag. So, for my vegetable garden, I bought green amaranth, red amaranth, indian spinach, and lady's finger seeds also. I haven鈥檛 planted okra seeds yet. Other seeds are already planted. Today I am going to talk about red amaranth.
I was in Gopalgonj for a week. My work was done within three days, but I didn鈥檛 come. My mother didn鈥檛 allow me to come. Because she made different types of cakes In Bengali, it is called "pitha". So, I can't come. I like my mother making cakes.
After one week I came to my in-laws' house. At first, I clean the small place where I am planting my green amaranth. Then I remove weeds from the left side of the house, the empty place. I used deshi tools to remove weeds from the entire yard. After that, I poured all the sand into the cement bag which was spread into the corner place. With the help of a glass plate, I poured all the sand. It was 4 bags of sand.
Then I remove the upper layer of soil. Because there were so many roots of weeds and some sand also. I use a garden hoe which is a versatile garden tool. We can do weeding, digging, and soil management by using this tool. Then I was tilling the place where I wanted to plant red amaranth. When the tillage is done, using my garden hoe. After that, I broke down the soil's big aggregates. Then I made a drain so that water cannot stay in the field.
I took a red amaranth seed pack and cut the upper side of one corner. Then took a small pot and poured those seeds into it. Moreover, add some sand to it. So that, I could sew evenly split in the field. Furthermore, I was planting those seeds by using the broadcasting method. Furthermore, I watered my red amaranth field. After 48 hours germinating was started.
It germinated well and is growing day by day. Here almost every day rain is falling. So, to get the rainwater they started growing faster. I removed weeds every week from my red amaranth field.
I wanted to use organic fertilizer. But it was not available in that time. So, I didn鈥檛 use any fertilizer in this field.
The red amaranth can be harvested after 1 week later. I can cook it now. But I am waiting for their growth.
