A photo I have taken during my stay in the Swedish city of Gothenburg .
Charles IX who was the King of Sweden from 1604 until 1611. The statue portrays him in armor primarily because his short reign was plagued with battles among his relatives in the House of Vasa over rulership plus aditional wars against Poland, Russia and Denmark.
