When I was in the rehab hospital one day my main physical therapist was busy and I got to work with a different PT and...
After talking for a while, I think he saw my IFC tattoo which has a "crystal city" and he asked what it was about and I told him and we got into a conversation about crystals and I just went off explaining how much I love them and how they fascinate me and was sharing things I had learned about crystals and then... He offered me a crystal.
He told me that his mother had passed away and left him her crystal collection and that since I love crystals so much he wanted to give me one.
I'm someone who is generally a bit hesitant to accept gifts that are extra valuable or sentimental, but I accepted and felt like it was an honor.
He showed me a picture or a video on his phone of some of the crystals/rocks and other stuff including a butterfly I liked in the collection and I told him I wanted the blue one that's in the picture cause I like the color blue.
I think it was the next morning, or one of the next mornings that he came in my room really early while I was still in bed and gave me all of these crystals and the butterfly thing too which says "Live Simply" on it.
I was so surprised and it was difficult for me to accept them all, I was like... "Are you sure?" and he insisted.
I put them on the table next to my bed and would look at them often and especially before going to sleep and when waking up and I feel like it made a significant positive difference.
Those crystals plus the nature pictures that some of the other staff took out of a calendar and hung up on the wall and things others did like talking with me about life and helping me go outside to get some sun and fresh air really helped me reconnect with some things that I love a lot and made me feel like some of the people there really cared.
I ended up giving one of the crystals to my mom and one to my dad as gifts, I'm keeping the others and I look at them pretty much every day.
They are great reminders to me of the kindness that still exist in humanity and also I feel like there might be something deeper there somehow while being really sick almost as if "synchronistically" being gifted with crystals in such a way like that... I don't know, it just almost feels like there's something more to it. Something "spiritual".
Anyways... I think that's it for me for now. I hope you're all doing as good as possible and seeya later! 馃懡 鉂わ笍 馃 馃Ζ 馃 馃幎 馃寛 馃Ε 馃 馃 馃悙 馃浉
PS... I don't remember what the blue and green ones are, but I'm pretty sure the other two are quartz. My mom took the green one which I gifted to her to a local crystal shop and was told it's worth $200!
