I don't have much time to spend on someone who appears to have made up their mind. But I saw your message and there's a few points I'll make real quick.
I could care less what you do with your investment, that's your choice. However nothing you said has changed how I feel about steemit at all and there's answers for all of your points.
Just because you didn't fully read how the system works, does not mean it's fraud. It's your responsibility to learn how it works, not just assume it works a certain way.
There are some early adoptors who have a lot of influence but charts show that it's evening out more than on other crypto platforms. Plus that's just kinda human nature, you can't expect crypto to solve all of the issues with human corruption and immorality, many of the same issues from the old system of money remain, not necessarily because of the system of money itself but because humans try to cheat and game and rig everything they can, it's an issue of human spirituality and morality not necessarily which form of money they use. In my opinion anyways.
It's interesting you think steemit is a scam when it has helped so many people all over the world especially in poor places to make a little extra cash for their ideas and content. And maybe it is a scam, I can't prove it and I'm not in the heads of those who created it or run it, however to me it seems like a legit attempt to mix crypto with social media.
People have been predicting the death of steemit since the beginning and calling it a scam and it's still here and probably will be in another 10 + years. I think it's just getting started, but you're of course welcome to your opinion.
Steemit almost went out of business because they got fat on good times and then faced a crypto wintger where the majority of the crypto market suffered, if the value stayed up where it was I'm sure that wouldn't have happened.
And actually a lot has changed, I've seen quite a few of the biggest skeptics change their tunes recently and joeparys is like one of the biggest scammers with one of the worst reputations on the platform so I don't think many people will miss him. I'm not sure why he's leaving but I would guess it's because his bidbot services are no longer profitable and he can't milk the system like he used to be able to.
So it's kind of ironic that you point to people like him as some kind of evidence when this place will be much better off without people like him.
There's a lot of smart people who are creating awesome new apps and technology, regardless of the social media aspect, steem is an awesome environment. Even if there was no crypto, the lack of censorship, the awesome communities... I mean, I'm sorry you don't see it. But... Good luck to you! I wish you well on your journey.
