I went on another small adventure yesterday just to get out and exercise.
It wasn't super eventful, yet I do have a few things to mention.
Didn't notice many animal friends this time...
But, I did see a coyote and heard some birds... And... There were some flies and other small insects.
I also didn't really learn much new this time.
Though, I did find a couple interesting things... One positive thing was that I found a neat heart shaped rock!
Unfortunately had a few significant setbacks and was a bit discouraged and had a rough day in numerous ways I don't really want to talk about.
Been reminding myself to be grateful for all the positive stuff regardless of what happens.
Was bummed to see that it looks like some people bulldozed a Native American medicine wheel to build a new house or something.
In other news I figured I'd talk about some of my cooking progress.
I ended up burning another pot of beans not as bad as the first time, but still unpleasant and then I tried soaking them over night and that seemed to work.
Instead of having to stand around for 2 to 3 hours, I only have to cook them for about an hour now and they're so much softer and tastier, so... Happy about that! And, I've been cooking more noodles as well which are delicious.
I'm barely eating any canned or processed stuff anymore and mostly cooking everything now! (Outside of fresh produce and stuff like that anyways)
Which is great on numerous levels... Saves money, tastes better and is healthier! Great deal. :D
The picture included is from a different adventure and it was one of the most memorable adventures ever with my father, I made a post about it a while back.
I Googled the info on the key and found out that it's most likely a key from a gun case, and that makes sense cause there was probably people doing target practice around there.
So, unfortunately it's almost certainly not associated with a treasure chest, but... It still has a LOT of meaning to me and kind of metaphorically represents a treasure chest to some extent.
How cool is it to find both a heart shaped rock and a key in the same outing? Plus the key was found at an incredible synchronistic moment...
