The first day of 2020 is behind us. It ended with this view of the sky. This interesting effect gives illumination of the city, which is 15 km away from me in a straight line. Light is reflected from low clouds and a new Moon is still visible.
What happened on this first day of the year?
The morning began with the birds outside the window. As always there were a lot of Tits, they are the owners of this feeder. But there was a new bird. I don't know her name.
In the afternoon I took the dog for a walk to a nearby village. I had a very busy December last year. There was a lot of work. And there was a lot of travel. I was away from home all weekend, so I couldn't walk the dog. I would like January to be less busy, but I know that I have a lot of work ahead of me.
The weather was fine on the first day of the year. The last week of December was frosty, but on the last day of 2019 there was a big snowfall and it became relatively warm outside. The trees were all covered with snow. This is what a pine tree looks like on the edge of my yard
What did I see on the way to the next village? Forest and snow, of course.
Road, road. Usually there are few people on it. But today it seemed that all the people suddenly decided to walk here.
But this is the first day of the year. Holiday. I thought people would still be asleep at this time.
I didn't let the dog off the leash because it can bark at people and run after cars.
I like to see the road empty, but there is a danger that a snowmobile or a car may appear at high speed.
The ultimate goal of my walk is to look at the valley and the river that is located below. It turned out that there were even fishermen on it. And I was very surprised!
Here I have already let the dog go for a walk on its own. She was very happy about it. She explored all the places, sniffing the tracks that were on the snow.
Well, it's time to go home. In the evening I went with my daughter to the cinema. The day was very busy and interesting.
