Aeron

What is Aeron?

Aeron was created for the sole purpose to solve issues that are becoming prevalent in the airline industry, as it continues to exponentially grow. Aeron is implementing blockchain technology to make airline travel much more safe by logging various data sets into their database on the blockchain- allowing for this information to be viewed by anyone. This includes not only the information stored in the blockchain, but also the transactions that are completed on their platform.

The Team

As Aeron is a cryptocurrency platform, it is comforting to first see that their CTO has a ton of experience in aviation, while the rest of the team has background in Solidity, UX/UI, as well as marketing.

Nadezhda Barkanova

Ms. Barkanova is the standing CTO of Aeron. Before working with Aeron, she was an air traffic management engineer, and she worked in aircraft operations. More specifically, she worked for an organization called Transas where she was an Aeronautical Engineer, Chief Engineer, and then finally made it up the ranks to the Head of the CBT department. Having this aerospace background definitely allows for the team at Aeron to understand the industry that they are looking to improve.

Artem Orange

Having to be the CEO of Aeron will be no surprise for Artem Orange! In the past, he was the CEO for 3 different organizations (Avenor, DIALLOG, and BelCel JV)! In addition to this, he also was a board member for International 450 Association (IA450). He gained great experience in telecommunications through working as President of Operations for a telecom company called Olive Telecom. His leadership background through inspiring others to work and succeed will definitely shed light on his peers at Aeron.

Dmitri Prokopenko

On this team of exceptional individuals, I really wanted to point out Dmitri. He gives something extremely beneficial to the Aeron team and platform. For myself, having a history in China, and speaking Mandarin, I can easily say that it will give the Aeron team easier access to work with different airlines and businesses in China! Many of the locals in China are more likely to do business with those who are able to speak the local language.

The Platform

When taking a look at how Aeron functions under the hood, there are three main components of their platform

Pilot Application
Company Application

Pilot Application

The pilots are able to use the Aeron platform by downloading the app (currently available on iOS and Android), and they can add in the flight information onto the app, which will track the location and flight track during the flight. The pilot is also able to choose different services (Fixed Based Operations) for when he arrives at his destination- this can all be done through their app. The big benefit for pilots is that they have the ability to receive nice discounts on FBO services after they land, and the app can also give much better transparency for the aviation authorities.

Company Application

Different companies are able to implement different services in a similar way to how the pilot application works. They are able to add different information to the blockchain about their aircraft, whether it's "oil, refueling, or remarks on the aircraft's condition". You can also assign different tasks to aircraft specialists to complete maintenance or service on the aircraft. The different individuals who will access this are the maintenance organizations, aircraft operators, as well as fixed base operators. The information is uploaded through the company application and is then stored onto Aeron's blockchain where it is placed on their repository.

This is, in my opinion, the best part of the platform! Aerotrips.com was built for all consumers interested in airfare! You are able to find various different flight schools and private pilots around the location that you desire. You can also purchase flights using either fiat or cryptocurrency! Just find the best cost/flight time and book it! After the flight, you can make a review on your experience, and it will be compared to the logs to those submitted by the pilot after the flight. In addition to all these benefits, you can also join the aerotrips.com club membership! By purchasing the aerotrips.com club membership you will receive access to discounts on flights, aircraft maintenance, and fixed base operations.

The Roadmap

It's great to see that the functionality of aerotrips.com is continuing to improve exponentially! Just recently, Aeron announced that they have integrated aerotrips.com with the Ethereum blockchain! This is a huge milestone for the team and developers. This means that you can now use your token for payments on aerotrips.com.

Looking forward, one of the milestones for Aeron that I am most excited about is expected to be completed at the end of this year. Aeron is planning to have the "Data Hub for ATC data automated processing development". This is the one portion of the Aeron platform that was not previously touched on as it hasn't been implemented into their application just yet!

The Token

The Aeron token $ARN is based off of the Ethereum blockchain- meaning that it is an ERC-20 token (find the token's code on Etherscan here. $ARN has a total supply of 20,000,000 tokens and there will be never anymore created! Their token is used through their application as well as on their website- aerotrips.com. This is where they the token will have the most usability. It will bring in revenue for the organization. They will receive fees from the subscriptions, the transaction fees from the log entries, commission from the paid services, and commission from the intermediation and client introductions.
