Life Updates

It’s been almost 2 weeks since I published my last blog, and I just need to share the updates about me as an engineering student, the typhoon aftermath in our community (a bit late), my crypto portfolio, and content writing strategies.

Engineering Student

The third week of face-to-face classes is nearly approaching. Thankfully, I survived the first two weeks (a bit of overacting lol). But seriously, it is a bit difficult for us because we have to adjust from online classes to face-to-face classes.

We only have a 2-week face-to-face class per week, and Monday is already exhausting. These 2 days start from 7 am to 4 pm. Although we have break time, it’s still enough for us for a quick rest.

Furthermore, it is a bit challenging for me because, during the online class, I never had any friends (excluding my past classmates during senior high school). It is why I have to interact and build camaraderie with my classmates in a face-to-face setup. So far, I have improved even though my introverted self is shouting inside me.

Typhoon Aftermath

There was a typhoon that hit the Philippines weeks ago. Thankfully, my place is not that affected by the typhoon compared to other places in the Philippines.

However, some of you may know that I live on an island surrounded by Laguna Lake. This is why there was a flood in our community nearby the lake. It is like a “high tide” where the water from the lake was flooded nearby the shore.

Even the covered court was affected so no one can play basketball or any sports inside. The road is also blocked by the flood.

Also, it is a bit frustrating because we have had no power supply for 4 consecutive days after the last typhoon and we have pending tasks and academic stuff that needs to be finished.

Anyway, at least we survived and we are safe.

Crypto Portfolio

Here’s the fact, I am a long-term investor in the crypto space, but seeing my portfolio in this situation is still painful…oh, I do not stress myself from it though. But seeing the shitcoins that I invested in having more than –95% down is another topic to discuss.

I decided to remove them from my portfolio — what was supposed to be a short trade became a long-term hold but never got any returns. I just lost a lot. And now, I will be more careful about investing and investing in coins that have a good community and consistent progress.

For now, I plan to track all of my investments inside crypto and decide if it is still worth holding. I still have coins under the Binance Smart Chain that sadly, are losing their value lol.

Content Writing

I have some ideas about my content now but I want to focus more on my website so I can also monetize it soon and apply for Google Adsense. Sadly, looking at my domain authority, organic monthly traffic, and overall performance, it doesn’t look good.

Well, it’s my fault for not promoting and producing content for it. Nevertheless, I want to start grinding on my website now and learn about marketing to generate organic traffic and sales.

Conclusion

In the past few weeks, I have made more adjustments not only to school but to different aspects. I just want improvements to myself while growing the community.

It was a stressful and a hassle week, but I’ve got a lot of lessons from it. Nevertheless, it is the most important thing in our life, to learn from our experiences. And hop! My birthday will come this week…the exact date is a secret though. Another year of existence!
