Welcome to Sol-Velocity – My Portfolio and What I'm Building
What's up everyone,
I figured my first post should be a simple introduction and a look at the portfolio I'll be tracking here on Hive.
Most of my focus is on the Solana ecosystem. That's where I've spent the majority of my time, and it's where I see the most opportunity right now. Between SOL itself, meme coins, and trading strategies, that's going to be the main topic of this blog.
Here's how my portfolio is currently set up:
50% Solana (SOL)
20% Bot Trading
6% Pump.fun (PUMP)
6% Meme Tokens on Pump.fun
6% Hive (HIVE)
2% Cat in a Dogs World (MEW)
2% dogwifhat (WIF)
2% Pudgy Penguins (PENGU)
2% Popcat (POPCAT)
2% Peanut the Squirrel (PNUT)
2% Bonk (BONK)
The reason SOL makes up half of my portfolio is simple. I believe Solana is still one of the strongest ecosystems in crypto. Transactions are fast, fees are low, and there's always something new being built. Whether it's DeFi, trading bots, NFTs, or meme coins, most of the projects that catch my attention seem to end up on Solana.
I'm also putting 20% into bot trading. The goal there is to generate returns without having to watch charts 24/7. It won't always be perfect, but I'll be sharing results and lessons learned as I go.
As for the meme coin side of things, I know they're risky, but that's part of the reason I keep the allocations small. I'd rather spread exposure across several projects than bet everything on one token. Some will probably do well, some won't, but that's the game.
And yes, I had to add HIVE to the portfolio. Since this blog is being built on Hive, it only feels right to have some skin in the game. Plus, I think Web3 social platforms are an interesting space to watch.
One thing I want to make clear is that this isn't a "set it and forget it" portfolio. Every two weeks when I get paid, I'll be adding whatever I can comfortably afford. Some pay periods might be bigger than others, but the goal is to consistently grow my positions over time.
I'll also be rebalancing as needed to keep the portfolio reasonably close to my target allocations. I don't expect it to be perfect, especially in crypto where things can move fast, but I'll do my best to stay close to the plan.
The wild card is the Pump.fun allocation. That's where I'll be taking some higher-risk shots on newer meme tokens. Hopefully I can catch a few big winners along the way and roll those profits back into SOL, HIVE, and the rest of the portfolio. If that happens, great. If not, that's why the position size is limited.
I'm not claiming to be an expert, and this definitely isn't financial advice. This is simply my strategy, my portfolio, and my attempt to build wealth over time while sharing the journey publicly.
This blog will be a record of that journey—the wins, the losses, the mistakes, and hopefully a few home runs along the way. It'll be interesting to look back a year from now and see how everything played out.
Thanks for stopping by, and welcome to Sol-Velocity. 🚀
