Comprehension for little ones

Anna worked very hard every day. She was a doctor and had to get up early in the morning to go to the hospital and got home very late at night.

She loved her work, but she also loved getting home, relaxing and having a good night's sleep.

It was important that she was well rested because she had to save lives of sick people.

One night she woke up with a loud BANG, CLANG, DOOF, DOOF sound. She lay in bed and listened, but she could not figure out what it was.

She heard the loud noise coming from the basement. At first she was scared, but decided to go and have a look.

Very quietly she went down to the basement and she could not believe her eyes...

There in front of her were about twenty mice jumping up and down and running around. It looked liked they were having a party.

They made a terrible noise.

Anna went back to bed, but the noise kept on until the early hours of the morning. She hardly had any sleep and was very tired the next day when she went to work.

That evening she went to bed early, with the hope that she would have a good night's rest, but just as she was about to fall asleep she heard the loud noises again.

"It can not go on like this. I will never be able to sleep", she said to herself. She knew that she would have to think of a plan to get rid of the mice.

She did not want to hurt the mice, she only wanted to get them to leave the house.

She came up with a plan.

She carried two huge speakers down to the basement. The mice looked at her suspiciously but still they did not run away.

Anna chose some music from her playlist on her phone and switched it on. The music was very loud and the speakers were blaring away down in the basement.

It was so loud, Anna had to put in some earplugs so that she could go about doing her work in the house.

She left the loud music on for two hours and then went down to the basement again.

There was no mouse in sight. The only thing she saw was a little letter that the mice left. She picked it up and read

We are going to find another place where we can live and have our parties. We love music, but yours is way too loud. We do not know how you can live like that.

Anna smiled and went back to her room.

That night she had a wonderful, peaceful sleep and she was well rested the next morning.
