Good night my dear #Hivers! Today I want to share with you a school craft that I made two Christmases ago with my students in the Pedagogical Guidance Workshop. In the classroom we have a corner where we only work with recycling, painting, and other manual construction activities. They really enjoy these craft days.
Our activity consists of some Christmas party favors made with recycling material using a plastic bottle of soda, old newspapers or used notebook sheets, in this case some of them used newspaper and others, white sheets. But I better tell them what materials they used, and I give them the steps to follow.
These party favors can be used to place goodies, to give as gifts, or simply to decorate.
The materials to make our Christmas party favors were:
PASOS A SEGUIR // STEPS TO FOLLOW
- The first step is to cut the bottle into two parts, leaving the upper part as the lid of the party favors and the lower part as the container according to the desired height.
- Then it begins to cover with layers of paper glued with white glue.
- Let it dry and then begin to paint with cold paint according to the color of the character that was chosen: Red if it is Santa Claus, green if it is an elf and white if it is a snowman.
- The faces are made with pink or cardiac foami, the traits are given with markers, and in the case of Santa Claus, the beard and mustache are made with white leaves.
- The elf has his hair made with green crepe paper and his little body with red cardboard or construction cardboard.
- The hats of the snowmen were decorated with pieces of foam.
- The edges of the hats have cotton as well as the tips.
