But first: A little bit of history
Just to fill you in on a few things before all of the wedding planning starts…
My fiancé and I have been together for almost ten years.
A little advice to you all - the wait is worth it!
If I think about it I never would have been able to make the emotional and logical decisions I can now when we first started dating…
I mean, we were young. We had our whole lives ahead of us…
He is into sports and the only sport exposure I would get is by supporting him during his games…
I enjoy the arts and I can't even get him to see the whole Louvre while we were in Paris because he got board and didn't understand it.

I think it is our differences that made our relationship so much stronger than we'd thought.
We grew to see past each other's flaws and problems and got used to each other - Yes, that's a good thing too! When you think about it, you don't want to be irritated by something your husband says to you 25 years down the line? No, you'd want to get all of that behind you before saying "I do."
Just because that ring is on the finger does not mean that he or she (for the men reading this article, women can be like that as well.)
I've heard of so many couples whom have marriages that end up in divorce because of the fact that they thought the problems would go away once they said "I do" - spoiler alert.. It doesn't.
Some don't even get divorced, they just stay together for the sake of the children and end up hurting themselves and hating each other.

This is what I meant by saying that I am glad we have waited…
I love this (soon-to-be)man of mine with all of my heart and if that means checking out all of the stops before choosing to get off, then that's okay.
Growing up I a Christian home we have learned that sometimes God takes us down certain paths just to show us what He does not have planned for us, and that He has a greater purpose with our future.
If you are also reading this and thinking about planning your wedding well then CONGRATULATIONS!

Take a little time today to also have a little quiet time with God and listen closely - He already knows your future path!
Have a wonderful day!!
