Hello Guys!
Yey, I 'm back again with my Splinterlands post, to take part in the Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge. This hasn't been long since my last post The Unstoppable JARED SCAR // Social Media Challenge published, and now I'm going to share another one of my battle strategies using monsters from Element Dragon, in accordance with the theme of the battle challenge from Splinterlands.
It's not hard to find interesting battles of element Dragons, because I honestly always bring this element with me every time I want to push rank. I usually every time I do a rank push I will rent 3 complete elements and one of these elements is Dragon. This is because Element Dragon is special, as it can be combined with other elements.
Alright guys, without waiting long, let's just see what kind of battle I do to accept this challenge from Splinterlands . Well, I'm neither a proplayer nor a tournament hero. I just enjoys sharing strategy and battles that I find interesting in my own view. So don't imagine this is going to be a very extraordinary battle. I took this battle strategy when pushing rank in the Gold league, and it may only be suitable for the same league because of the difference in the active abilities of each monster that may be different in each different League.
This is a special battle because it has 99 mana, and of the 6 elements only the Life element is inactive, with the Aim True rulesets (Attacks always hit their target).
This 99 battle seems to me to be a bit annoying, because the enemy's strategy will be difficult to guess, and of course the enemy will be all out in compiling the deck. I will also use your best monsters in compiling decks in this battle. In addition to the Monster dragon, the monsters of the Water element will be a complement. I think in this battle it will be more effective if the attack is centered at 1 point, because the opponent will also use Taunt monsters. For Tanks, I will choose the strongest Tank I have and also in the past position, I will also choose a monster Tank that can have a dual role as an Attacker or Tanker.
To make it easier to understand, the deck arrangement and strategy of each monster will be included in the table as below:
| Monster | Position | Abilities | Strategy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Summoner | -1 Range, -1 Speed | You need a Dragon Summoner to be able to use monsters from the Dragon element. I chose Quix The Devious, Legendary Chaos Legion Summoner because it has an ability that provides debuff speed for the opposing team. Speed is very influential with winning, and by using the debuff speed eating my team's chances of attacking early will increase and this also increases the chances of winning. -1 Range is also useful for reducing damage range, although this is not the main reason but this ability can be anticipated for General Sloan | |
| First (Tank) | Void, Devine Shield, Piercing | Although this is not the max level for the Gold league, the Robo-Dragon Knight is a very powerful Tank. Having a Void ability that can reduce magic attacks, Devine Shield ability makes the first attack for this monster will be ignored, and has 4 Melee attacks accompanied by Piercing ability which means that attacks from this monster will penetrate the Armor from the target. | |
| Second (Second Tank, Attacker) | Reach, Double Strike, Shield | Carnage Titan has a dual role as a second Tank and Attacker. This is because the stats owned are very supportive of being placed in second place. Although this is a monster Melee, it has Reach ability, and has 3 Melee damage with Double Strike which means that in 1 attack there will be 6 Melee attacks. If the monster in the first position dies, this monster as a tank is also strong because it has large HP and Armor, and also Shield ability that reduces Melee and Range attacks. | |
| Third (Main attacker) | Flying, Scattershot, Blast, Blind | Chaos Dragon even though it has a very large mana, but this is in accordance with the stats it has. The ability is very supportive of being a main attacker, because the attack you have is very deadly. Once attacked this monster can attack 3 Magic attacks accompanied by Blast which means that the attack is also hit on the monster on the right and left of this monster. Chaos Dragon has the ability Scattershot where attacks from these monsters can go in all directions. The monster taunt is not so fierce for this monster, making the attack of this monster even more deadly. The HP and Armor owned are also quite large, so they can also be transformed into Tanks. This monster also provides a Blind debuff for the opponent's monster. | |
| Fourth (Attacker) | Flying, Life Leech | Legendary Riftwatchers monsters that have quite a lot of mana, and mana 99 battles like this are perfect for using these monsters in your formation. This does open the max level of the Gold league, but the 3 Magic attacks accompanied by Life Leech ability are quite good as attackers. Monster's HP increases each time is damages an anamy monster HP in proportion to the damage dealt. | |
| Fifth (Support, Attacker) | Resurrect, Reflection Shield, Thank Heal | The only support in this formation. All the abilities possessed support the defense in this formation. Resurrect ability will resurrect the first dead monster, Reflection Shield makes this monster immune to Blast, and reflect magic, and most importantly this monster has a Thank Heal ability that can restore the monster's HP in the first position. | |
| Last (Tank) | Void, Phase, Forcefield | Djinn Oshanus who has very high speed and Forcefield ability is an anticipation if he uses Super Sneak attacks, because he sees in his battle history that opponents often use this strategy. If I guess wrong, it doesn't matter because this monster can also be an attacker because it has 2 magic attacks |
The opponent also uses Summoner Quix The Devious, by combining Dragon monster with Earth monsters. The first position is Grund who has Double Strike and Trample ability with 4 Melee attacks, Grund's attacks will be very deadly. The Cranage Titan is in second place, this is the same as my formation. Third place, Queen Mycelia with Protect, Amplify and Triage ability. This is support for Mycelic Slipspawn which became the last tank pad of position. Likewise, Spirit Hoarer, who is in fourth place, is a support for Mycelic Slipspawn because he has Triage ability. In the fifth posiis da Goblin Psychic which has the abilities Thank Heal, Affliction, and Silence. This will make my Magic monsters lose 1 damage which makes my attacks less effective. And in the tetakhit position, there is the Taunt tank Mycelic Slipspawn.

This battle begins with showing off the buffs and debuffs of all Summoners and Monsters. Although both teams received a speed reduction, the speed of my team is still above the opponent's. Opponents use a full heal strategy for both front and rear tanks. Even though I use a Full Legendary squad, we will find it difficult to guess who will be the winner, because I think the opponent's strategy is more effective in this battle. Most of my mosonters are Magic monsters, and the Silence ability of the Goblin Psychic reduces the damage from my attacks.
Djinn Oshanus became the first monster to get a chance to attack. Chaos Dragon's scattershot hits the Goblin Psychic and blasts the Spirit Hoarder and Mycelic Slupspawn. No monsters died in this first round.
In the second round, Chaos Dragon's Scattershot hit the Cranage Titan. My Robo-Dragon Knight ati due to Carnage Titan's attack, but Resurrect by Oshuur Constantia, and then HP restore after Oshuur Constantia's girin attacked Robo-Dragon also gained Heal. At the end of this round, Robo-Dragon gets an Affliction from Goblin Psychic.
At the beginning of third round, Spirit Hoarder died due to an attack from the Chaos Dragon. Grund also died in this round after receiving a attacks from my Carnage Titan. At the end of the third round, my Robo-Dragon Knight died due to an attack from the Goblin Psychic. There are 4 monsters left on the opponent's side and 5 monsters from my team.
The fourth round went on as usual, countering each other's attacks without any monsters dying.
Queen Mycelia died early in the fifth round due to being hit by a Chaos Dragon Scattershot. The HP of the Cranage Titan is also very small and at the end of this round was hit by Affiction from the Goblin Psychic. There are 3 monsters left from the opposing team and 5 monsters on my team
Mycelic Slipspawn died early in the sixth round due to a Runemancer Kye attack. My Carmage Titan also died in this round. There are 2 opposing monsters with small HP that will probably die in 1x attack
Finally the game ended in the seventh round. I won after. You can see the final result of this battle in the picture below:
Although I won this battle, the strategy I applied was not effective. This is because I use too much monster magic, and it doesn't vary with other types of magic. So with just 1 debuff silence my number of attacks dropped drastically. It would be more effective if I was supposed to combine my moans with Range, Melee and Magic.
Considering that some monsters from the Dragon element do have quite high mana, the battle high mana is indeed very good for exploring the combination of monsters from the Dragon element. But as I said above, this 99 battle is a little troublesome because it will make us hesitate and even the strategy we use is a responsibility because we like to use tall mana monsters as much as possible.
From this battle, I can conclude that:
