The 18 month old was on a mission walking toward the dress up box. His face was full of joyful expectation as he reached for the spider man. But no, the 3 year old was not sharing. "It's mine!"
Easily solved, another spider man outfit must be bought. All will be kosher!
The next week off to K-Mart Ben and I went. The spider man outfit was found on a shelf in the toy department. My feeling of success faded somewhat when the outfit was a onesie and sized 3 to 6. It was very long!Still a good find, it came with a mask!
Adjustments were done to make it wearable for an 18 month old. I cut it into two pieces, put elastic in the waist, cut the ends off the sleeves and pants and voila a little outfit that would fit the 18 month old. I wondered about taking the mask down because he was not the right age to put on a mask.
But I threw it in the bag anyway. You never know!
The new spider man outfit was a roaring success with the 3 year old. He wore it all day, mask and all.

The 18 month old was very happy to wear a spider man outfit for the day.

The new problem was the 18 month old cried when ever he saw a spider man in the house with a mask on. 18 months olds do not recognise their brothers with masks. But, that is another story!
Cheers and Blessings
