It is hard to believe that it has been 3 weeks since meeting 8 little Border Collie puppies in a plastic washing basket north of a country town called Gympie.
This is my number 2 weekend post on puppy fun and is a follow on from my number 1 post published under The Weekend tag written a few weeks ago. It is a fabulous tag created and organised by the talented 
This Sunday morning was the planned pick up for my son's new blue merle puppy, that he has by the way named Onyx. As before I was the passenger going along for the fun up close and personal patting and nursing.
The pick up was organised with the lovely lady breeder at the same place as the first melting moment meeting, at an empty carpark in a sporting/club set-up. Handing over the puppy, the papers and a little bag of food took all of five minutes and once an envelope containing $3,500 was given to the breeder, my son gave the puppy to me in the back seat of the car and we were on our way back to the Sunshine Coast.
The puppy is now 7 weeks and has definitely grown bigger and longer. His eyes look different, there is one blue eye and one green eye. His nose that was pink is now black with a couple of pink spots. For a couple of minutes I placed him in his new sleeping box just to get the feel of it. He was not too fussed not that I blamed him, it has to be a very empty place without his brothers and sisters!
Not surprisingly very cute black, grey and white puppy Onyx preferred the hands on patting and nursing, falling asleep in a quick space of time.
It was a fun Sunday drive home to the Sunshine Coast cuddling one little black, grey and white furry border collie puppy. He is now settling into his new home at the Gold Coast and the next time I see him he is sure to be much bigger.
It made for another beautifully sublime hands on puppy time with the added reminiscing and writing the post kind of Sunday.
