Life is a balance of holding on and letting go.- Rumi
Are you full of optimism, energy and commitment eager to start a new day exercising finishing with a salutation to the sun. Perhaps you like to wake slowly as the obligatory coffee gives you the much needed kick start to face the day. Or are you the person who wakes up feeling tired and plain worn out from over doing it?
Is it possible that three different individuals fit each description or could one person fit all three scenarios at different times over a week, a month etc.?
Interestingly, the well intention I can do this plan, - getting home at the end of a work day, go to be bed at night at a reasonable time, get up early, commit to a daily exercise regime of gym, running or swimming or cycling and to catch up socially with friends has a big chance of hitting the skids. Thinking that we can do more than is humanly possible is common. And hey, many of us can relate to this real life story.
I for one am guilty of overdoing it and have a number of times in my life. It feels so achievable setting unrealistic goals stage, but all too soon the plan fails and we of course then feel a failure and woeful.
But, the upside with each failure is the opportunity to learn more about our physical and emotional selves. It is a choice that is up to each and every one of us. According to Deepak Chopra we have the ability to balance our all important biorhythms by aligning our daily exercise with the constant getting up, standing and moving during the work day. Sitting at a desk for a lot of hours is not conducive to physical, emotional or mental well being. Believe me it is that easy! A fact that is well talked about in magazines and in the media by health/fitness experts and psychologists.
In addition it is important to add in daily leisure time, eating healthy food and getting a good night's sleep, all of which leads to positivity and increased energy. Ridding the body of toxins and stress takes time.
Once balanced and feeling much better you might find yourself wishing the sunshine a good morning, except of course for the well deserved lazy Sunday sleep ins. Or if you are retired like me and fancy free you can have some extra mornings of the week to drink one or two cups of tea while writing a post or reading a book.
Making each moment count positively is all that life demands of you- Edmond Miabka
Sitting and enjoying my garden is one of my greatest enjoyable leisure entertainments.

Flowers are one of my greatest garden pursuits, I love planting them, watching them grow and so appreciate when the rain kindly energises the petals and leaves, leaving gifts of raindrops for me to admire. Nature must know that I am a succour for raindrops.
The thoughts, words and sentences that make up this post all come from me, Angie Mitchell. The two photos were snapped by me in my garden.
