This moment my beautiful moment is with my husband. I am grateful for the moments of our second year together and observing Ramadan fasting.
Ramadan fasting lasts for a month. And now it's been half a month. I enjoyed religious moments with my beloved husband.
Before I got married, I only fasted with my late mother. Then my mother died, and God sent me my husband to be with me.
My husband often invites me to dine out even when he is not dealing with his work to travel. We do that because sometimes I'm too sad at home remembering memories with my mother.
Like today, I'm not enthusiastic about making an iftar menu. I'm sad remembering the moment my late mom and I made cakes together to prepare for Eid al-Fitr. So, my husband invited me to break the fast and have dinner outside.
The funny thing is that several popular cafes in my city refused us because the place was full. We are required to reserve a place in advance. That makes me even less enthusiastic.
But my husband then took me to a cafe at the end of town. Not very popular. Luckily we were able to break our fast there. Named Zein Cafe.
Indeed, it's been a long time since we dined out at this cafe. Maybe the universe sent us here on purpose in the end 馃檪
Zein Cafe has a large location, indoor and semi-outdoor. Also, various local menus at affordable prices.
For the special food menu for this fasting month, several attractive packages are available for breaking the fast.
Well, it was almost time to break the fast, and I immediately ordered two menus for the iftar package. For me, I ordered a chicken steak package with iced cucumber and melon syrup.
Before my ordered menu arrived, I took a selfie 馃槀 Only then did I realize from my camera that the places behind me were already full.
Dine out in the atmosphere of breaking the fast is enough to give me a new feel and make me feel less sad.
My husband says I should smile when taking photos 馃槀 hmm at least my husband is right.
Finally our ordered menu arrived. Luckily, before the time to break the fast arrived.
I held a cup of iced cucumber and prepared to break the fast.
It feels refreshing to break the fast with sweet iced cucumber. Did you know that in Indonesia, cucumber is usually used as a sweet beverage menu? Usually, the cucumber is shaved and then served with sweet melon syrup.
Thankful that today our fast has passed. Then, we had dinner. I enjoyed the chicken steak menu.
The chicken steak menu by Zein Cafe tastes good even though it's not the best. Served with local flavored sauce to immediately blend with the Indonesian tongue.
There are only a few fries because the chicken steak menu is also served with rice. In fact, I couldn't finish the rice either and I gave it to my husband. Ehehe
For the vegetables, there is a mixture of chopped carrots, green beans, and kernels. I love this combination.
To be honest, after eating, I felt in a good mood. I couldn't photograph the entire contents of the cafe because it was still full of visitors and I respect their privacy.
So, I took photos around the car park. You can see how happy it was on my face after dining out.
