In today's fast-paced life, who has the time to slog in he kitchen for hours preparing elaborate meals? There just isn't enough time in the morning to prepare the perfect meal for your child. So here are three easy-to-make recipes for a delicious meal. These recipes do not take much effort and can be partly prepared at night and left in the fridge to be quickly put together in the morning!
Tandoori Chicken Wrap
Ingredients
Chicken breast 250 grams,cut into thin strips
Tandoori Masala 1 Tablespoon
Ginger-Garlic paste 1/2 teaspoon
Yoghurt 2 Tablespoon
Lemon juice 2 Teaspoon
Salt To taste
Cooking Oil 2 Tablespoon
For wrapping
Shawarma bread or Chappati
For stuffing
Fried Onion Rings 1 Cup
Salad (tomatoes,green chillies,lettuce) 1/2 cup
Garlic Mayo (2 tbsp Mayonnaise, 1/2 tsp freshly grated garlic, 1 tsp lemon juice)
Method
Marinate chicken strips with all the ingredients overnight in the fridge. Then, heat some oil in a saute pan and fry the chicken until almost dry. Let it cool. On the bread, place the chicken , fried onion rings and salad. Serve with garlic mayo and enjoy!
Asian Mushroom and Mixed Vegetables Wrap
Ingredients
Lettuce 10 leaves
Sauteed mushrooms (chopped) 1 cup
Sauteed Vegetables ( Zucchini, Eggplant) 1 cup
Garlic (chopped) 1 tbsp
Red Chilli flakes 1/2 tsp
Sweet corns 1/2 cup
Chopped tomatoes 1/2 cup
Fresh basil 2 tbsp
Salt and pepper To taste
Olive oil 1 Tbsp
Method
Heat oil and saute garlic and red chilli flakes. When done, turn off the stove and add the vegetables. Place the sauteed mushrooms in a bowl; add corn and basil. Place a tablespoon of the mixture on an iceberg leaf and enjoy!
BBQ Sandwich
Ingredients
Burger Buns As per requirement
Leftover chicken or beef (shredded) 1 cup
Sliced onions 1 cup
BBQ Sauce 2-3 tbsp
Salt and Pepper To taste
Olive oil 1 tbsp
Lettuce shredded 1/2 cup
Tomatoes (thinly sliced) 2
Method
Heat some oil.Fry onions until they are soft and golden. Add the chicken or beef and fry for few minutes. Add BBQ sauce, salt and pepper and remove from heat. Slightly toast the buns. Add the mixture and top it with a lettuce leaf or tomatoes.
Note: Ingredients like mayonnaise, jalapenos etc. can be added.
