As part of modern living, most of us take for granted that we can go where ever we want, when ever we want! So it takes many of us by surprise when the grocery store is closed (god forbid) or in my case the road to town is closed so I'm stuck at home for awhile. I wouldn't mind normally but today I had plans for shopping etc.

On Tuesday it was almost drought conditions here. We have had our fair share of summer rain so we can't complain but it was getting pretty dry and I would have pleased to see any wee shower coming my way.

Well... What a difference a day makes!!!

Today it's Friday and it has rained buckets since Wednesday night - just poured down for the last 36 hours!

Yesterday afternoon I braved the rain to go and get some photos. This is the quiet wee creek that usually meanders along beside the road. It's usually about 6 feet across.

It has turned into a raging torrent of water and was lapping the road when I got there. It has rained again all night so now it's been over the road and we have trees down so getting to town today is going to be a mission if possible at all.

I'm out of milk! I wish I still had my house cow! 🐄
