Continuing a topic that I've found fascinating among so many photoshoots, that of the characters of the street, now it's the time of a lady whose presence in the oldest part of the city is quite noticeable and very much so.

Her name is Lisette and, although she studied and graduated as a kindergarten teacher, for many years she's been selling peanut cones in the streets of Old Havana. This is a common situation in Cuba, a country where education is public, universal and cost-free, so there are plenty of qualified professionals everywhere, but given the complicated economic situation, many have to flee to other more profitable jobs.

What distinguishes her from the thousands of street vendors that crowd the streets? Her cheerful, relaxed, natural character, her witticisms and constant jokes with people, but keeping her distance and impeccable respect and education. In addition, she also likes to sing loudly, and she does it incredibly well, in addition to touting her product in the most original ways.

That makes Lisette a true street artist, and today I want to show some photos from the times I've seen her out there. Enjoy!
