Went for lunch across from the downtown cenotaph and happy to see they've finished fixing it.
Last time I was here they were rebuilding the walkway as the Vets didn't have anywhere to walk or stand... a good number of those in wheelchares couldn't get close as they'd have to go over grass.
Town listened. Would have to considering the city of Chilliwack was CFB Chilliwack for 75 years before it was shut down fifteen years ago due to budget cuts.
Side note in that... in the event of a natural disaster the nearest military base is three men an hour away.
Then eight hours away through the mountains is the nearest platoon.
