Nobody answers restricted calls. That's because rarely are they from people you actually want to talk to. From bill collectors, to prank calls, to crazy exes. Trust me, it's just better not to answer them. But at the same time. What if that restricted call is your shot? What if it was the one call that could change not only your life but also the people's lives around you? Would you answer now? AF Quari is an artist hoping that his latest single "Restricted Calls" will be the hit that will have record labels calling to take his career to the next level.
AF Quari is a rapper from Tulsa, Oklahoma who is part of the group AFNF (All Family No Friends). His uptempo high energy music and new wave flow is helping to make him an artist to look out for in 2018.
From the very first listen the track is infectious. It has that new wave sound and feel. I like how AF Quari switches up his flow from a sing-rap flow to just pure raping. It shows his versatility as he has found a sound that fits him. It also helps that the production (produced by Isaiah-Lamonte) creates pockets where the artist is able to have lots of flexibility in which he is able to switch up flows and cadences. The surprising part about the track is that it is only 1 minute and 58 seconds, but at the same time that is what makes this track so great. The fact that it's long enough for you to catch a vibe, but not too long so that you don't get fatigue from repaying the song. Here's a line from the second verse that made me double back.
I'm like Andre, we just made 3K,
Walked in the bank,
Big racks, we got rank,
5 Thousand dollars to the dentist,
Colgate
Nobody knows when or where you will get you shot, but I have a feeling if AF Quari keeps making songs like this. This shit right here... Than it's no doubt that Restricted or not the labels are gonna be calling. And with all that being said. In short, it's a HIT!!
