This is a song that gives me a very special feeling whenever I sing it. I love the song because of the way it talks about coming to God with an open heart and asking Him to fill us with His love. The song may sound simple, but the message inside it really touches me.
The part where it says, “Into Your mercy I run to, Lover of my soul" is one of the parts I love most. It reminds me that when things are not going well, I can always run to God. There are times when life becomes difficult and we don't know what to do, but knowing that we can still come to God gives me peace.
This is also where I see the connection with this week's theme. Bad times will not remain forever. When we are passing through difficult moments, we should not give up. We can run to God, hold on to Him and allow Him to give us the strength to continue. I also love the part that says, “I want to love You more and more.” For me, this is not just about asking God for things. It is about wanting to know Him more and having a closer relationship with Him.
I chose this song because I really enjoy singing it. Whenever I sing it, I feel happy inside. The chant at the beginning also gives me a different kind of joy and makes me want to keep singing. It is one of those songs that I can sing and just enjoy the moment. One thing I have learned from this song is that I should not allow difficult times to take me away from God. Instead, those moments should make me draw closer to Him.
The song reminds me that even when things are hard today, they will not stay that way forever. I can keep trusting God because He is the Lover of my soul. That is why I decided to sing Saturate My Heart for this week Open Mic. I love the song, I love the message, and I love the joy I feel whenever I sing it.
