My first fashion show competition ever was a successful one since my team bagged the first place in it !
I loved every single bit of it. To start off this was an university based competition and so my college chose students to perform for this event. In the beginning I was hesitant to walk for the competition since I lack confidence, which was a crucial aspect of the competition. But as I practiced more and more each day , I started to feel better about it and just walked thinking that no one's watching me. We practiced only for 6 days prior to the competition and simultaneously worked on our outfits for it.
Our theme was Egyptian. Initially we had planned on "Egyptian gods and goddesses in modern times" but eventually we just thought of going all out and do it the fancy way.
My role was the Egyptian cat goddess - Bastet. Hence the cat ears. I am not going to lie , I was not confident at all until I got on stage and when I heard the crowd scream for me I just got all my confidence out of nowhere and you can see it on my face.
It made me feel very empowered for some reason. Walking with my seniors was an experience to remember! I definitely want to do this again!
