Heyyyy everyone ! Hope all of you are doing great. So very recently I turned 19 years old. The year went by so fast , feels like I did not get to experience my first year of adult life with full swing instead it just swung by in the blink of an eye!
So here's the thing about me , I'm not big on birthdays. My birthday I mean, and I was okay with not celebrating my birthday. I also did not want to celebrate it because it was my grandfather's birthday two days after mine and he passed away last year during May ( it was the peak of second wave ) . That was one of the major reasons why I didn't want to celebrate and also I have anxiety when it comes to such things , I don't know why.
But I really wanted to get a dress and click good photos and so I bought a new dress but did not get great photos ,which is sad but alright. I ordered the dress off of Myntra ( an online shopping service ) . I loved the way it looked on me. I'm currently in love with balloon sleeve dresses and this felt like the perfect match. Weirdly enough I don't have a lot of red in my closet but I have bought red dress for my birthday from the past three birthdays.
In the morning I went to college, and was there from 8 am to 3 pm. In the morning my best friends got me a choco truffle cake. I felt so special and loved. It felt so good to be loved like that. Nothing huge it's the small gestures they do and then later while going home in the evening my other friend bought me a pastry cake. I wanted to cry cause I was on the bus and she gave it to someone , the fact that I couldn't hug her and say thank you kinda made me sad.
In the evening I had called my school friends over for dinner. I celebrated my birthday with my friends and family. It was such a happy vibe. I have never celebrated my birthday with both my friends and family together. My school friends got me a cake too which I sadly don't have a photo of ,but I do have a photo of a cake that my dad got for me.
Since I'm an architecture Student , they got me architecture student theme cake. How cool is that ?!?
I had so much fun that dayyyy. Danced and sang with my friends. My mum prepared fried rice , noodles and chicken Manchurian for dinner. My favourite food that she prepares. I mean everything she makes is my favourite. She also prepared biriyani for lunch in college. I was sooo happy.
