Should parents continue to support adult children financially? That's the question right? and the answer is simple for me is......Yes, but not forever.

Let's be honest about reality. Many graduates have no stable job. Business needs capital to start. Country is hard. House rent is 200k to 300k yearly. Food is costly. Transport is costly....So if your adult child is trying to hustle, doing small jobs, learning skills, and still struggling to meet up, parents should support... That is not spoiling, that is helping. Even Bible says parents save for children.

But support must have expiry date. In my opinion, after school, give 1-2 years full support to find feet. After that, change from full support to sometimes support. Not every month you send money. Only when truly needed.

When does help become too much? When the adult child is lazy. Waking up 10am, eating, pressing phone, waiting for alert. No job, no skill, no plan, no savings, but always flexing with friends. That child is now a burden. If you continue to pay everything for that type of child, you are not helping him, you are spoiling him.

Opportunities are limited in this country, yes, but they are not zero. Adult children must also try. Learn a skill, do small business, freelance, teaching, anything legit. Don't just blame economy and sit at home.

For me, the balance is this: Parents should help their children grow, not help them remain children.....Support should be a ladder to climb, not a bed to sleep on.
