As mothers we pay attention to our children's things, we are always looking for a way to do something nice for them that motivates them and fills them with joy. In my case I don't sew much for other people, but only for those who have asked me for help. One of my motivations for sewing is that I disconnect a little from the worries and stress of the day. Sewing has become an ally to help me let go of many things in those moments. It's a little strange but that's how I feel, hehe! Plus when I do it it fills me with great excitement.
On this occasion I want to share with everyone a cute sewing project, where I will show you how we can make a cute bag that will be useful for the little ones in the house. I have always liked to make things for them, because they are loved, and this bag is no exception, so I took some scraps of fabric big enough to make it. I have made many bags, but this is the first time I have made one with a zebra theme. I tell you that at first I didn't know what to do with this fabric since its print is out of fashion. I immediately thought it would look good on a zebra face bag, ideal for those starting kindergarten. If you still have this type of fabric at home, don't hesitate to make one, as it will look fantastic. Friends, I know you will like the idea, that's why I invite you to follow me to the end of the tutorial, and you will see that it is very easy to do, let's go!

to start with this cute bag, what we will do is the pattern, you can get it on the internet or if you have an old bag at home you can disassemble it and you will get the patterns. We place the pattern on the fabrics, mark the outline and cut out some pieces that will be the front and back. We also cut out a pair using the leather that will be used for the inside and will thus support our bag.
We take the lilac fabric and fold it, place the front piece which is the striped one and mark along the edge, giving the upper part an oval shape. This way we will make the zebra's face.
We place the lilac piece on the striped one and make hems before sewing, you can also pin it. Once the procedure is done, we are going to sew on the leatherette to give it firmness, we will also do the same with the back piece.
In this step we are going to make the ears, we cut out these small pieces in the shape of an arc, we must cut out two pairs of black and one pair of lilac.
We proceed to sew the ears, how do we do it? It's very easy, we take a black piece and another purple piece, place one on top of the other and sew leaving 2cm on the edge.
Once we're done, we're going to cut out just the black part as you see in the image.
We turn it over and use a lighter to heat the edges a little so they don't fray. Finally we place the following black pieces on top of it, we sew on the wrong side and when finished we turn on the right side of the fabric, this is how they should look.
We sew the ears to the top of the front piece. Now we are going to cut out the middle piece which will join the front to the back, this is a strip of approximately 7 cmX20 cm. Once we have this piece, we proceed to sew, joining the front to the back.
On the sides of the bag and before placing the closure we are going to place and sew these little metal pieces that will serve to hold the strap. Next we sew the closure to which I have placed some strips of fabric on each side.
On the inside of the bag right at the edge we cover with lilac fabric so it will be more aesthetic.
Once we have finished sewing everything, we are going to turn around to appreciate the bag. With a pencil we mark the mouth, eyes, nose and eyebrows, we can make them with fabric or embroider with thread, but I wanted to make them with acrylic paint (nail paint) so that it is durable. To finish we place the strap that goes to the sides.
