On this beautiful day, I'll show you how to make a cute denim hat that will protect us from the sun and make us look beautiful. This is a lovely accessory that looks great on both girls and women. The one I made is denim and is a gift for my niece, whom I love very much. The procedure for making this hat is easy, so if you are a beginner at sewing, don't worry because you can also do it without any problem. Let's begin with the steps to make this hat.

To begin, the first thing I did was cut off the bottom of a pair of jeans I had at home. I found the measurements for this pattern online, but you can easily make it yourself. I placed the pattern on the folded fabric and traced the outline.
Next, cut out six of these pieces to begin assembling them to create the shape of the hat.
Once we have the hat pieces, we proceed to join them together to give it shape.

That's how I sew the pieces together with a straight stitch, without needing to zigzag.
We continue joining the pieces one by one with straight stitching, until they are all joined and form the base of the hat.
Here you can see that I have joined all the pieces, now we are going to sew closing the entire piece so that we get the shape of the hat.

We're almost finished with the hat; now let's make the lining. For this, we'll use a slightly softer fabric so it doesn't bother you when you wear the hat. We'll cut six pieces using the pattern we used earlier.
We sew each lining piece, just as we did with the denim pieces, joining them together to create the inner part of the hat.
And this is how the inside looks. Notice how it resembles a different hat, but with a lighter fabric and a different color. It's very easy to make.
We proceed to place the inner part over the outer part to sew around the perimeter and thus form a single piece.
Turn the hat inside out and sew firmly around the edge and along the seam line for a neater finish.
If you want, we can iron it a little. Now we just need to add a circle on top.
After sewing the lining to the hat, see how it looks. If you want, you can make a lining with the same denim fabric. In my case, I chose this fabric because it's very lightweight and has a nice print.
To finish this project, cut out a small circle that will go on top and cover this hole.
After patching the hole at the top of the hat, we've finished this lovely project, which I hope you'll like. I think it turned out very well and will be very useful for my niece, as it will protect her from the sun on these hot days.
