Last Thursday being totally out of idea what to write about, I thought I could write another post for Thursday Green Challenge, and that's how the chasing for the green in my house started.
The only reason why I didn't post the findings of my chase last week is that my daughter arrived out of the blue with some issues she wanted to talk about with me. But that's another story.
However, before she arrived, and before I took all these photos, I was convinced there is almost anything green in my house, except maybe those green handles on that red bag (above) that I spotted first. Not some big green fun! But I couldn't post again that green burger I've posted the Thursday before although I'd like to.
I was standing in my leaving room and turning around, but couldn't see anything green. I knew it! The leaves of some plant standing there were not good enough for me.
I went to the kitchen and there, next to the sink, I spotted that green plastic bottle my husband always parks there for some reason (what I hate btw). How could I forget it?! I took the photo! Now, the whole world would see how he is driving me crazy! 😜
Then there was this green flower pot usually standing on my kitchen window. Believe it or not, this plant is called the money tree. In fact, it's Crassula Ovata. The plant got the name The Money Tree because there is certain belief connected to it which says if you hold it in your home and if it grows well it would bring the money abundance to the household and its members.
Well, if it's true and although it reaches quite impressive hight for that kind of plants, I think I'll have to work on it to grow more leaves. Apparently, the ketch must be in the leaves as currently, my wallet is not that thick as it should be. 😜
Then I turned around and spotted this big can with dry parsley. Oh, I didn't notice before that I emptied it that much already. Hmm... it turns out this chase for the green in my house would be of some use after all. At least, now I know what I should buy to refill my supplies.
As I'm holding there some other spices too, suddenly I noticed the whole army of small glass bottles all of each, can you imagine, have the green caps. WOW! I never saw them as something green. They were always just spices without any color attached (at least not in my mind).
And here we have basil, ginger, some so-called Italian mixture, dill, and oregano.
There is more of them in fact, but I had to run out of the kitchen as it already shocked me enough how much green I've found there. I went to the bathroom. There shouldn't be any green, and I would close the session. Wrong!
Even there I found that green liquid soap. Unbelievable! I would accept a million dollar bet there is no more than eventually three green things in the whole house, all of them at best in the category of those green handles on the red bag that I spotted first. And yeah, that liquid soap would need a refill soon as well.
It seems like whole these chasing for the green in my house was only to remind me that I have to go for some grocery shopping. Yeah! Everything has a purpose if we bother to take the slightest attention to the signs. 😉
