TO ALL THE LIPS I KISSED..
A beauty forced to slumber,
Awaiting the touch of a prince to awaken,
You rode on hairless horses,
Clothed in beguiling armour,
Disguised with royal gloves,
To cut pieces of my yielding hear,
The kisses of desperation
Of hope to live again
But to steal was your aim,
A plight I longed to recover,
A dream I searched it's meaning
A joy I hoped to experience.
Oblivious I was,
As you fulfilled your ragging desires,
Leaving me bereft of hope..
A miserable stalk with no root,
A painful reality in my floating state,
But I see what I must!
For a tiny flicker of hope emerges
A crawling light peeks through
The darkened depth of my tormented soul.
Yes I must hope!
For it is more fulfilling than to surrender,
So ,to all the lips that kissed mine,
It is I who will betray you now,
For you wished my weakness,
Yet have I found strength,
To hope and to wait,
For the prince cometh,
Riding across oceans and lands,
With chaste lips reserved for mine
To pull me out of slumber,
And awaken me to the world I once lost,
To all the lips I kissed,
It is my turn to betray you.
