Standing before Heavens beautiful gate,
many of us seem to have come way too late!

I asked St. Peter why he won't let us in.
You must keep out! You stink of sin.

But, every Sunday I open my heart to let God inside!
Yes, and when you get home He's quickly laid aside.

You go about your day to day business,
and come Sunday morning, you beg for forgiveness!

It's a cycle. Week in, and week out.
You had the time. Why didn't you break out?!

Be faithful, it's said, but you only believe.
It's not very good, the impression you leave.

You've been told to give to the poor.
But every week you work hard to gain more.

As yourself, so love your neighbor!
For you, it seems, that's too much labor.

My friend here was in war, fulfilling the peoples will!
What?! Does he not understand, "Thou shalt not kill."?!

In Matthew, it's said to love your enemy.
Was Jesus living in a state of fantasy?!

You'll not get in! Your heart's not pure!
You're going to Hell! Of that, I’m sure!

Needless to say, I woke up at last.
I let this dream fade into the past.
