Everything was like a dream and many times i fervently prayed to wake up from that nightmare.

It was so difficult for me to accept that everything had fallen apart.

What will people say?.
I would be termed a failed woman.
A woman who cannot even keep her home.

They say a wise woman builds her home consequently she must do well to fix a badly raised grown man or manage him else society blames her if the center couldn't hold.

It was more like a taboo.
A dent on that woman.

People stare at you and shook their head in despair. She couldn't stay married so she must be unmarriageable.

Maybe she has a bad character

So this fear of being tagged a failure kept me bound in an unhappy and dead relationship. I was almost losing myself and my mind which was not acceptable.

I need to be sound and healthy mentally, physically, psychologically to be able to be a good mother to my girls.

They need not to see their mother broken and dejected, that is not what i want them to remember me for. I want them not to be a prisoner of a bad marriage, so i have to show them that it's ok to let go and move on.

Life have so much to offer.

Many women have passed on to the under world not through physical abuse but emotional abuse and the same society who would have tag them a failure if they had left will blame them for staying.

So i realised that no matter the decision i take, society must talk.

I took the best decison for myself and my girls.

I left.

Society are still talking and i don't care.

Give it time, they will adjust.

Or not.

I will still not care.
