Badminton started in India in 1870 where it was "poona". It was introduced to Britain in 1870 by the colonial army officers who were station in India.
The game of badminton is played on a court by two players, (singles) or four players, (doubles). The game is started by a service from the right service court over over the net to the right service court of the opponents. The player uses rackets to hit a shuttle over a net from one side to other.
