INTRODUCTION

Radio and broadcasting has left the realm of just the spreading of information. Now, we have been able to incorporate the concept of entertainment via the airwaves.
A major percentage of the entertainment we get via radio stations are based on music we hear. These music files are created by certain people – the musicians and artistes we so much love and cherish. But the question is this - do they get remunerations for all these contributions that they bring to the industry? Are they treated fairly and on par with the amount of life they bring to the radio sphere? All these and more were the questions on the minds of the team members before they made moves to introduce this highly innovative project.

MAINSTREAM FOR THE UNDERGROUND (MFTU)

Whilst it is a widespread practice for artists and performing musicians to always register locally with any representative organization in their local music community, it is not alien to have some musicians choosing to go separate ways and independent of any organizational representation. This is where the MFTU comes in. It is simply a platform of representation for these independent artists who are not a part of representative organization, and is means to provide them with equally fair opportunities that their counterparts in organizations might be enjoying.

THE CYBER FM TOKEN

The Cyber FM Token or the ‘CYFM’ Token refers to the token which would form the legal tender base for the CYBER FM community. It is a form of currency that would be used to pay musicians and performing artists their royalties. It is the rolling stone for the Cyber FM community. Within the ecosystem, the artists and musicians are not the only ones who stand to benefit from being a part of the platform. Ardent listeners and fans are also incorporated into the system. There is also room for these users to win tokens just for participating on shows or being active on the platform.

MFTU TOKEN

With the Mainstream for the Underground in operation, there has to be a means for the payment of the royalties of these independent artists. In this case, the CYFM is not used. What goes is the MFTU Token. It is quite similar to the CYFM but is the equivalent for the independent artists. Through this means, all independent artists can also enjoy fair representation as well as receive payments and remuneration that is legally deserving of them.

ECOSYSTEM TECHNICAL DURABILITY

A major problem with most web-based platforms is their security durability. Due to the open source nature of the internet, internet-based platforms are always open to various forms of attacks. For this sake, all platforms, most especially those involving transactions and value exchange must be securely beefed up to avoid any unsavory story along the way. The CYBER FM platform is not lacking in this area. With smart contract protocols embedded in the system, all transactions are now autonomous and void of any external interference. All libraries would be adopted from Open Zeppelin, a platform that has been rigorously scrutinized for security breaches and undergone various levels of testing.
For security against possible attacks, passwords are hashed and highly encrypted, thanks to the use of bcrypt.

TEAM AND ADVISORS

The team members are a group of technological savvy individuals who have identified a need and have chosen to be a part of the historical names that would change the face of broadcasting. Armed with the technical and technological know-how, they have combined all available resources to ensure that the project is fool-proof.

When proper incentives are being deployed in the broadcasting industry, musical content creators would be greatly encouraged to do more and thus there is both continuity as well as sustainability. These are two great elements that move industries far into the future. The light has finally come for perming musicians as well as the radio and broadcasting industry.
